If you don't know me, it might help to introduce myself by way of five role models of mine: Marc Andreessen, Chip Wilson, Naval Ravikant, Tom Sachs and Rick Rubin (top to bottom ➡️).
They bring together some of my core values, and, as a bonus, they have all been able to create immense value first as entrepreneurs, then for them.
More recently, I've started to isolate my personal mission; here's my current formulation:
To bring happiness and fulfillment to those around me and to those beyond me, as a result of my own actions and also my contributions to something bigger than myself.
In my free time, I like to go swimming and hiking, try new recipes and I'm working on reflecting more often. I'm also working on a Substack where I will write thoughts and learnings that won't fit in tweets.
I'm passionate about people, the problems they face, and the products that can solve them. With a high tolerance for ambiguity and fast-changing context, I enjoy working on hard problems with new tech, but what really drives me is creating levers for making a big impact. Here are my working theories on the solutions I want to have in both space:
On technology:
On entrepreneurship:
Creating and/or working for companies that start from solving a real technological problem whose incentives are aligned with customers', and then finding ways to monetise it and make it profitable, instead of the other way around.
Enabling and empowering people to dream bigger and create better. This entails focusing on both digital and urban innovations, as both are equally important in the increasingly complex world we live in.
With strong beliefs that are weakly held and a Business/CS background, I feel comfortable both developing ideas & arguing and hearing all sides of a debate while adapting to new perspectives that emerge from it, especially when surrounded by inspiring teammates.
Working independently is a joy for me, but so is working on a team - and leading one. I like to create order and am highly effective at organizing people, processes and information.
Strategy comes naturally to me too. I can see the big picture and am able to clearly communicate that vision. I believe in sharing my thought process in order to build confidence in and momentum for my plan and in being a source of strength and consistent focus throughout a project.
<aside> 🦍 My superpowers include relentless grit and tenacity, and empathy for both teammates and users. More superpowers are in the making.
